RTU Career Center invites to a seminar about company IBANPAY

RTU international students are invited to attend a seminar about company IBANPAY, which will take place on January 27 at 18.30 at the Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering of Riga Technical University, room 116, Āzenes street 12/1.

During a seminar, IBANPAY’s representative Dmitrijs Golonovs will provide general information about company, provided services, competitive advantages and vacancies foreign students are welcome to apply for.

IBANPAY is specialized in provision of outsourced services in the areas of customer support, payment processing, customer relationship management, change control, risk management and data gathering and filing.

If you speak English and one of the following supported languages: ES, DE, IT, RU, TR, AR, PT, FR, PL, CN, JP you may find your future employees there.

Workshop: Dialogue about GENDER EQUALITY

On Tuesday, June 11th, 14:00-16:00 at Riga Technical University Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, room 121 (Āzenes street 12) a workshop on gender equality will take place. Working language – English. Workshop is organized in cooperation with Center MARTA and the goal is to reflect on how inequality affects us in our relationships, talking about gender stereotypes and roles. Description of the workshop: As we said, we want to create a space for debate, where we can all share experiences and talk about how gender affects us in many situations in our daily lives, so that we can become aware and empowered. Main topics:
  • Stereotypes, gender roles, prejudices;
  • Toxic relationship (myths of romantic love, cycle of violence, adaptation mechanism);
  • Resources available in Riga.
Seminar will be led by: Alba Maria Sánchez Álvarez (Social Worker by the Universidad de Oviedo) and Kimey Barrionuevo Santamaria (Social Integrator by Universidad del País Vasco), two students in their last year of Promotion of Gender Equality studies in Spain, who are doing their internship in the Centre Marta. Apply for camp “Step by Step:How to be the BEST of the BEST”

Riga Technical university Career center together with student organization “BEST-Riga” invites you to apply for summer camp “Step by Step: How to be the BEST of the BEST”, that will take place from 8th to 11th of August in “Jaunlīdumi”, Jelgava. During these 4 days participants will have the opportunity to take part in various personal skills trainings, meet company representatives from leading companies in industry, improve English level and to meet other RTU students. During summer camp trainings on topics like team work, presentation skills, creative methods of leadership, project management and others will be held by internationally recognized trainers of BEST. All participants will be challenged to test knowledge gained during camp in a case study about problems in everyday work environment. Student assessement of employer

A call for students to complete student assessment survey. The RTU Career Centre collaborates and communicates with many employers every day. We invite you to fill out this survey, so that we can make suggestions for an attractive employer. Survey is intended to find out what students appreciate in employers, what is expected from companies and which employers currently are recognised among students.   !!! FIDE World Chess Grand Prix Riga 2019 July 11-25

Riga will become the world chess capital in July 2019. The second Grand Prix leg will be hosted at Latvian National Library from July 11 till 25. Grand Prix in Riga will continue Championship Cycle. 16 best chess players from different countries will come to Riga to compete for Candidates Tournament participation.
