Workshop: Dialogue about GENDER EQUALITY

On Tuesday, June 11th, 14:00-16:00 at Riga Technical University Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, room 121 (Āzenes street 12) a workshop on gender equality will take place. Working language – English. Workshop is organized in cooperation with Center MARTA and the goal is to reflect on how inequality affects us in our relationships, talking about gender stereotypes and roles. Description of the workshop: As we said, we want to create a space for debate, where we can all share experiences and talk about how gender affects us in many situations in our daily lives, so that we can become aware and empowered. Main topics:
  • Stereotypes, gender roles, prejudices;
  • Toxic relationship (myths of romantic love, cycle of violence, adaptation mechanism);
  • Resources available in Riga.
Seminar will be led by: Alba Maria Sánchez Álvarez (Social Worker by the Universidad de Oviedo) and Kimey Barrionuevo Santamaria (Social Integrator by Universidad del País Vasco), two students in their last year of Promotion of Gender Equality studies in Spain, who are doing their internship in the Centre Marta. Praktiskais seminārs studentiem “Saruna par dzimumu līdztiesību”

Otrdien, 11. jūnijā, no plkst. 14.00 līdz 16.00 Rīgas Tehniskās universitātes Elektronikas un telekomunikāciju fakultātes 121. auditorijā, Āzenes ielā 12 notiks praktiskais seminārs par dzimumu līdztiesību. Semināra darba valoda – angļu. Seminārs organizēts sadarbībā ar “Centru Marta” un tā mērķis ir diskutēt par dzimumu lomām un stereotipiem, kā arī apzināt, kā nevienlīdzība ietekmē mūsu savstarpējās attiecības. Seminārs plānots kā vieta un laiks sarunai un iespējai dalīties pieredzē par to, kāda ietekme ir dzimumam dažādās mūsu ikdienas dzīves situācijās, kā apzināties stereotipu un dzimumu lomu ietekmi un kādi resursi mums pieejami, lai nepieļautu neveselīgas attiecības vai no tām izkļūtu. Semināra galvenie temati: stereotipi, dzimumu lomas, aizspriedumi, toksiskas attiecības (mīti par romantisko mīlestību, vardarbības cikls, pielāgošanās mehānismi), Rīgā pieejamie resursi. Semināru vadīs Alba Maria Sánchez Álvarez (topošā sociālā darbiniece no Universidad de Oviedo) un Kimey Barrionuevo Santamaria (topošā sociālās iekļaušanas speciāliste no Universidad del País Vasco) – pēdējā kursa studentes no Spānijas, kurā studiju programmā “Dzimumu līdztiesības veicināšana” apgūst praksi “Centrā Marta”. Dalībnieku skaits ir ierobežots, tāpēc lūdzam pieteikties savlaicīgi.
